Shark Cuddle Cape Set Crochet Pattern

Shark Week is coming starting August 4th!

I've had this design for the shark cuddle cape set on my hooks for a while now and after making it several different ways I fell in love with a chinstrap hat idea! I wanted my shark design sweet and not scary! I have to thank my awesome testers for their help. This shark has gone through lots of changes from when it was first drawn up.

I can't wait to get this off to my photographer. Seeing it on a baby always makes a huge difference. One of my sweet testers took a pic on her little baby and it was adorable!! You can see that in my facebook tester album along with some other great sharks.

I love the way the tail and fins turned out. They are slightly stuffed with poly-fil to hold shape.

Look at those choppers and cute beady eyes!

This fun new shark pattern is on sale in my Raverly shop for two more days!
Wed Aug 31 - Thurs. Aug 1st (ends at midnight central)
(Reg 5.95 on sale for $4.50. No coupon needed. Discount applied at checkout!)

I can't wait to see your baby sharks!

New Emma Bonnet and Doily Cape Set

Announcing our newest design!

The Emma Bonnet and Vintage Doily Cape Set

Photography by: Forever Captured Photography
Set made by Pattern Tester: Jennifer Neerhof of Willow Works

I'm very excited for this new set. It's lacy and light with a vintage feel.

The Doily prop can be used as a cape to drape over the baby, used as a basket detail, or underneath the baby. Maybe add grandma vintage broach or pearls to add those special touches.
Its a prop that can be use other ways than just baby. After you are done getting those special photos use the doily on tables or put it in a frame or shadow box as wall decor.
 The Doily makes a great home decor item!

You can easily use any yarn or hook size to make these doily's smaller or bigger for just the right look of course exact details are given in the pattern for the Newborn size.

You are going to love this pattern! My pattern testers have already fallen in love with these sets!

This pattern comes with two edging options a scalloped edge or a more defined picot edge (pointed) use them together or use them separate.

Aren't these gorgeous! They are made with worsted weight yarn and takes less than a skien to make the entire set and works up fairly fast!

 You could try a light and lofty mohair or lace weight just be sure to check that gauge.

I can't wait to see these on more babies soon!

$3.99 (reg. $5.95)

Pink Poodle Cuddle Critter Cape

It's a very busy time of year for me but October is an important month to me because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most people know someone with breast cancer. Last year my Grandmother was fighting it and won the battle. I made a darling little pink-a boo puppy in her honor and you can read more about her story and the puppy here:

This year I was trying to think of what to make and since Critter Capes are my speciality I had to do something. What's more perfect than a Pink Poodle. Michaels had some specialty pom pom yarn just for Breast Cancer Awareness month that was hot pink and I knew it would be perfect! ( It may be hard to find later but I'll have other options with a variegated pink pom pom yarn or other fun colors) I finally made some time to make this set up last night! I love it!

This set will be for sale soon and the pattern will be available to make your own hopefully in a week or two. I can't wait to see this on a baby!!

Goodger Photography and more

So I've been a bit of a blog slacker but it's a good thing. My cuddle critter capes have taken flight and my sales have grown immensely so I've been crocheting like crazy. I'm so excited for the future of my business at this point and can't thank my wonderful fans and customers enough for your support.

Another exciting note - I got to meet up with a fabulous local photographer Christy Goodger of Goodger Photography. She isn't just any photographers. She is an amazing newborn photographer and honestly I'm more than thrilled to be working with her. You've got to check her work out! If you want pictures that you'll love for a lifetime she's totally worth it! If your local to the OKC metro- she has a darling studio in downtown Bethany, OK.

You can visit her on Facebook or her website for more info.

What you wanted to see pictures .....OH Ok here are a few!

I loved her idea to put an owl in the hanging basket like a little nest.

Cute! Baby bear hat

even more precious is two babies!

She's got a bag full of props and I'm so excited to see more images soon!
Thanks Christy!

* Please DO NOT COPY images for any use! These are copy write of Goodger photography and use with her permission by only me.

New designs and New photos

Happy Hump Day ! I've been busy creating a few new designs for the Cape photography props. I've journeyed Through the forest and the jungle so now it's time to head down south to the farm :)

I started with my most requested a cow, pig and bunny. For my farm I decided on Sleepy animals with a closed eye look:

Introducing :

{Sleepy Cow}

{Pink Piggy}

{Bunny Rabbit}

You can find these all in my Artfire Shop. I have both the crochet patterns and finished products for sale.

On a fabulous last note! I received some gorgeous photos from Ten Toes Photography.
I'm working with another talented crocheter who has great resources for several photographers. She'll be making the props and getting them photographed for her and I. So if the photo's look familiar we are both using them with permission from the Photographers. I just love seeing these props in action!!

Here are two pics of the lovely Hatchling Turtle.

Looks so adorable on this little precious baby!

*please note do not copy, use or redistribute these images! It is a violation of copywrite!
Thank you!
