Under the Sea Design Contest

We haven't done any contest in a while so with the new release of the Mermaid
pattern is larger sizes I thought it would be fun. I don't want to limit you to just the Mermaid patterns so read the rules below and lets have some fun!!

Contest Under the Sea Theme

You can use any of the following patterns from my shop! Anything water related like the
Mermaid, Turtle, Lobster, Crab, Alligator/Crocodile, Penguin, Frog and If you think of others I missed or have a creative spin on others that are photographed water related than that's fine too, just make sure the pattern is from my shop! You can combine it with other patterns and of course put your own spin on it! I doesn't have to look exactly like the pattern! That's the fun part!

This is not a voting contest. Depending on the amount of entries will determine how many winners. I think I'm going to go shopping for fun prizes like, yarn, crochet tools and patterns! I'll be sure to let you know very soon!

This Contest will start now and will run through The end of May! That will give you over a month to plan and make some thing special. Winners will be chosen the 1st week in June!

Just make the item you choose, photograph a good clear picture, then submit!

To submit an entry please email me your photo!
Be sure to include your name and shop name if you have one.
and if you can try to put "Under the Sea Design Contest" in the subject line

I will make an album on facebook of your entires. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

If you have any questions please let me know !!

January Design Contest

I've really enjoyed the Design Contests. I love seeing you take the base pattern and putting your own spin on it. I had the contest running though Dec but only had two entries so now that we're not as busy with the holidays I want to try again!

The New Capelet pattern has been a new favorite in the shop so I though we' would focus on just using it. Plus I want to show that it can be use year round in lots of other ways than just Christmas! I think It is a perfect Valentine prop.

The rules are simple.

1. It has to be from this pattern. It can look just like my pattern or it can vary with your own creative ideas added. For instance, change the colors, edging, or add some ears from your favorite animal.  You can purchase this pattern in Ravelry

2. Email your Photo submission to me calleighclips @ att. net or you can post it to my facebook wall.
It doesn't have to be a professional image or even on a model. So don't feel like if you don't have professional image you wont win because it's mostly random draw. It's not a voting contest

4. I have made an album on facebook . You can view current entries here.

5. I will accept submissions til Jan 31st.  Winners will be chosen in the 1st week of Feb.

This will not be a voting contest to give everyone an equal chance. I will pick a few at random, I will pick my favorite and my kids love to pick a couple favorites too. The more that enter the more random draws I'll pick!
Winners will received a free pattern.

If you have questions at any time just contact me! or leave comments below!

I can't wait to see your entries!! Have fun and be creative!

Create Crochet Etsy Team

Well I've been selling on Etsy for four months now and I have to say so far I'm not disappointed. I was really nervous to jump into such a large online selling venue and so far it's paid off.

Etsy have several teams you can join up there all made up of Etsy sellers. I browsed through many and decided to join up with the Create Crochet Etsy Team. I have to say it was one of the best things ever. I've meet some really great and talented people from all over the world. Everyone is such an encouragement and I've learned a lot of different things from different people. I love the feedback on my items. Plus it's nice to know there are other people in the world that are as addicted to crocheting as I am . LOL!

Etsy give out grants to each team ever month and Our Team won this month! You can read about that here. I'm so proud of all the hard work our leaders, helpers, members and volunteers have put into this team.

Our team has challenges every month and this is the first month I've been able to participate. Our theme is for breast cancer awareness. Since we won the grant the team will be picking 10 winners and they'll each get a prize! You can read more about our team and events we've been a part of this year here.

I entered my pink-a-boo puppy. So when It comes time to vote tomorrow! You'll have to help me out!! You can vote on the Create Crochet Etsy Team Blog.

I look forward to being a part of this team for a long time! Congrats team and keep up the good work!

ah memories

Want a late night laugh:

The Inner Hooker is having a back to school photo contest. My kiddos aren't in school yet so I thought why not submit an old photo of me. My mom uploaded this embarrassing photo to facebook once so why not share it again to make you smile. It's from the late 80s I would guess I was 7 or 8.

Got to love the suspenders and my tightly permed short hair cut. Oh and if only you could see that shirt up close (lots of colors bright colors) Good Memories!

Come join the fun and vote for me here please!

You'll need to become a fan of The Inner Hooker - she has fantastic crochet patterns. I think I'm close to having most of them. So I would say I love them : ) Please don't just "like" the picture (they don't count) type "vote" in the comments sections. Thanks so much!
