Popsicle Snuggy - Free Crochet Pattern

It was a lovely Easter Weekend! Spring has sprung and we already have warm weather in the 80's. It was perfect day to pull out the popsicles and spend the afternoon outside. I usually just give the kids a small hot pad or wash rag to wrap around those icy freezy pops! I decided it was a good day to whip up  some simple snuggy's. These are easy to make, whip up fast and are great for small scraps of yarn you're not sure what to do with! My kids really loved them! I know you will too. Enjoy! 


Popsicle Snuggy



H Hook 
Cotton Worsted Weight Yarn like Lilly Sugar N Cream, 
*You could also use acrylic worsted if desired 
*Tapestry Needle

Notes: 
*Chain stitch does not count in stitch count!
*The number at the end of each row is the stitch count for the row(#)
*Measures approx 5 1/2 - 6 inches in length
*Gauge: 1” x 1” swatch = 3 rows of 4 sc 

Worked in Continuous Rounds. Do not join rounds. 

Round 1: ch 5, 2 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, sc in next 2 chs, 2 sc in last ch, continue your work on the opposite side of the chain, sc in next 2 ch, sc in last ch { same st you worked the 1st 2 sts in}  (9) 

Round 2: sc in next 9 sts (9)

Round 3-18: sc in next 9 sts (9) 

To finish off, skip next st, sl st to next st, fasten off and weave in ends.

This is a great idea!!! I am making these right now for my children and my nieces and nephews. I don't know why I never thought of this before! LOL

I made these 2 or three years ago for my daughter to use for her grands, and now that they have worn them out, she has ask for more.
