Materials:
Worsted Weight (4) yarn ( I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby)
H - Hook (5.00mm)
Measuring Tape
Tapestry Needle

Stitches used:
(ch) chain, (sl st) slip stitch, (sk) skip, (sc) single crochet,
(hdc) half double crochet, (bpsc) back post single crochet

Determine which size you’ll need. The headband will only stretch about 2 inches so be sure to measure a child if you can because not all head sizes will be the same as the chart below.

0-3 mo  approx. 13-15 inches, 3-6 mo   approx. 15-17 inches
6-12 mo approx. 17-19 inches, 1-3 years approx. 18-20 inches
4+ years approx. 19-22 inches, Pre-teen - Women’s - approx. 21-23 inches

Headband Pattern:
Chain a multiple of 3 to the desired length un-stretched. **Example: 0-3 mo. ch 51
Join with sl st, ch 1 (take care not to twist the ch)

Round 1: Sc in 1st ch and each ch around, join with a sl st.

Round 2: ch 4 {counts as 1st hdc & ch2}, sk 2 sts, *(hdc in next st, ch2, sk 2 sts), repeat from * around, join with sl st to 2nd ch of beginning ch 4.

Round 3: ch 1, sc in same st as join, *(2 sc in each ch2 space, sc in next st), repeat from *  around, join with sl st to 1st sc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

I love these headbands with interchangeable bows, clips and crochet flowers. You can even weave ribbon through the headband and tie a bow!

Optional Flower:

Using a size H hook - ch 4. Join the end to the first chain with a slip stitch to form a ring. (magic circle)

Round 1: (sc in the ring, ch 3) 6 times, join with a sl st to 1st sc

Round 2: (sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc) in each ch3 space. Do Not join at end

Round 3: Now you begin working on the back side of the flower, *bpsc around the next sc of the last round, ch 4,  sk (ch 1, 3dc, ch 1, sc)  Repeat from *6 times. Join with a sl st to 1st sc.

Round 4: (sc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, sc) in each ch 4 sp, Do Not Join at end

*If you want to add another layer of petals, repeat Round 3, increasing the number of stitches in the chain by one, and Round 4, increasing the double crochets by two.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew on to headband or attach it to an alligator clip for a detachable clip.

Spring Shortie Sweater

With Spring weather approaching and the ever changing Oklahoma weather. You need the essential Cardigan.  I've looked for a simple pattern before for my Calleigh but didn't like any I found. This weekend I came across this designer and pattern writer from New Zeland on Etsy called Holland Designs. She makes patterns for adorable shoes, slippers, sweaters and more! If you love to crochet you have to check her patterns out.

I purchased her Shortie Sweater. I was a great pattern but I would say for later beginners or intermediate.

I used cotton yarn to keep it light weight but I'm unhappy with it and will probably try it again in finer, lighter weight yarn. I crochet tight and the cotton yarn doesn't really stretch so while it fits her fine it doesn't lay right across her chest because of the lack of stretch. I left off the button and will close it with some satin ribbon or might add an extra finishing row to give her the room she need to button.

My finished sweater

Calleigh cheesing for you in her new dress and a hat I've had in my stock that happens to match.

Back view of Sweater.

I'm sure I'll purchase some of her other patterns in the future because she didn't have just one cute pattern she had several!

I can make this shrug in anysize nb- women's and in a variety of solid colors? I might offer it in my shop for the little ladies if anyone is interested. What do you think?

Whoo doesn't love this owl earflap hat

Our newest hat is the Owl earflap hat. I purchased the pattern through a presale from The Inner Hooker. She has great hat and photo prop crochet patterns. I think I have around 10 of them. I've bought most, won a few and tested one.

I've already had four owl hats sold before I even tried it! I just think it so cute. I made this in Dark Brown and Olive Green so that it could be for boys.

These can be made to fit in any size from Newborn to Men/Women's sizes. These can be purchased right here via Paypal in my Artfire Storefront and my Etsy shop

Pink, Purple and Turquoise

New Brown/Grey and Creams variegated! I love this new style!

Want a custom order in your choose colors just ask! I'd love to create on special just for you or your little one!
