Tie Back Glasses NB Prop - Free Crochet Pattern

Okay so these might seem a little silly to some but they were super fun to design. One of my photographers recently asked if I could make some Clark Kent glasses to go with a Superbaby Cape Set I made for her. I thought crochet glasses might prove a challenge but I was happy to try and I love the end results! I rarely work with tiny hooks but I needed them to be stiff and not overly huge. So with that said lets get to the pattern :)

Newborn Glasses Prop

Do not use my images for any purpose! If you sell items made from my patterns please make and photograph your own work! Thank you! ~Elisabeth

*D - hook
*Small amounts of worsted weight black yarn
*Gauge - Crochet as tight as possible for stiff glasses!
*Tapestry Needle
*Terms and Stitches used: (ch) chain, (st) stitch, (sl st) slip stitch, (sc) single crochet, (dc) double crochet

Frames
Make 2 - (one for right and one for left side)

Round 1: ch 22, join with a sl st to 1st ch (make sure not to twist the ch)

Round 2: ch 1, sc in 1st st, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next st, sc in next 6 sc, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next st, sc in next 3 sts, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next st, sc in next 6 sc, (sc, ch 1, sc) in next st, sc in next 2 sts, join with sl st to 1st sc, ch 50
Fasten off. Pull tight so the end will knot up.

Center Nose Piece

Ch 5, dc in 3rd ch from the hook, sc in next ch, dc in last ch,
Fasten off, but leave a long tail for sewing.

*Sew Nose Piece to center insides, on the top of the glasses.

While the pattern is only written as a newborn prop you could easily make them larger by increasing your hook size!

I really hope you love the pattern! I'm working up a rounder frame too and will try to add that pattern soon!

New Emma Bonnet and Doily Cape Set

Announcing our newest design!

The Emma Bonnet and Vintage Doily Cape Set

Photography by: Forever Captured Photography
Set made by Pattern Tester: Jennifer Neerhof of Willow Works

I'm very excited for this new set. It's lacy and light with a vintage feel.

The Doily prop can be used as a cape to drape over the baby, used as a basket detail, or underneath the baby. Maybe add grandma vintage broach or pearls to add those special touches.
Its a prop that can be use other ways than just baby. After you are done getting those special photos use the doily on tables or put it in a frame or shadow box as wall decor.
The Doily makes a great home decor item!

You can easily use any yarn or hook size to make these doily's smaller or bigger for just the right look of course exact details are given in the pattern for the Newborn size.

You are going to love this pattern! My pattern testers have already fallen in love with these sets!

This pattern comes with two edging options a scalloped edge or a more defined picot edge (pointed) use them together or use them separate.

Aren't these gorgeous! They are made with worsted weight yarn and takes less than a skien to make the entire set and works up fairly fast!

You could try a light and lofty mohair or lace weight just be sure to check that gauge.

I can't wait to see these on more babies soon!

This new release will be on sale in Ravelry Today - Thursday April 18th (Ending Midnight Central)
$3.99 (reg. $5.95)
No coupon needed. Discount will be applied at checkout!

Enjoy!

Mermaid Princess Cape Set Update Day!

Good Morning! I'm so very excited to announce that the Mermaid Princess Cape Set Update is ready! My pattern testers and I have been working on this for over a month and while it was a big project we are in love with it and so excited to have it ready for you! Now I know many of you have questions and I hope that this blog post will answer most of them!

1. If I previously purchased the pattern will I have to pay for an update?

NO! - If you purchased or received it through Raverly or Craftsy there is already an update on the way! You should have received an email. Be sure to check your junk or spam mail. If you have an account with Raverly or Craftsy and didn't get it just log in and re-download your files.

If you purchased on Etsy or Artfire you should have received and email through Raverly (because that is how I send them) with one exception. If you ordered through the new instant download feature on Etsy I will have to email you a new file as it doesn't support updates at this time. You will need to provide proof of purchase. You can log into Etsy, go to my purchases, find the correct receipt and simply convo me the url to it so I can verify it. Then I will email  you a new copy.

2. I got an update but I only saw the old pattern?

Make sure in Raverly to scroll down and download the 2nd file!! I've left the old file for just 0-3 only because the new one is verrry different and I thought you might like to compare. I will likely delete the old version if in continues to cause confusion.

3. Will there be a price change after the sale?

No! I've decided to keep the pattern at the same price of $5.95 as a gift to you! This is my #2 best seller and I'd like to keep it up there if not higher! You are getting a great pattern at a fabulous price.

4. What does the update include:

*brand new format!

*Includes sizes NB - 4T and explains how to make it larger if you need to!

*It's a pretty big pattern (16 Pages)  I've added in table of contents and there are many links with in the pdf that are clickable (highlighted in blue) so you can click to the section you need more easily!

*New video links!!! So much better! I'm learning and while I still don't enjoy making videos I know this new one is soooo much better than the last ones!!

*the rest of the changes are minor like spacing, grammar and minor pattern edits.

*This pattern was tested by 20+ testers and we worked very hard to provide you the best pattern possible!!

Don't have this pattern yet!!! You'll want it I know!
So I've decided through Wed Apr 17th Midnight Central to put this on sale for 20% off

You can purchase this through Raverly only!
