  2. I love this! I'm a little confused though. Do you make 3 of these to braid? Thank you.

  3. no you don't make three. Please see pics and instructions.

  4. do you fasten it before you braid it

  5. @mjarvis - No! Leave it attached because you'll sc the ends shut. You'll fasten off after the braid. You could fasten off before and just sew the end shut if you wanted. I just try to eliminate less ends to weave in as possible :)

  6. Oh My, I can't believe how easy this looks to make! I saw the picture and expected a lot of complicated "twists and turns". I am so going to make this for my granddaughter who just left for college @ Chico State. She loves cowls and scarves. Thanks Soooo Much!

  8. Thanks so much for the lovely pattern. I had no problem finishing this cowl as your instructions were so easy to follow. I really enjoy patterns with as little joining as possible. I will be showing off this beautiful cowl a lot this winter. Elaine.

  9. I love the scarf, it is beautiful. I am a beginner and admit that my stitches aren't always consistent in tension. I made this scarf last night but was not able to finish because i ended up with three different lengths of strips! So after braiding, the ends could not all be pulled to one level to join to the other side. Any thoughts on how to avoid this? Thanks, N

    1. Mine weren't the same length either... But I still just joined the ends together as best I could and it didn't make a difference once finished and on since it is a circle and isn't supposed to lay perfecly.

  10. Honestly I always have had one that seems to be longer than the others. LOL I'm not sure why but as long as it's not terrible off it will work out okay. Of course make sure you count those stitches. With it being a long strand it's easy to get off track. Once you do braid it and fluff it up a bit it will be just fine :)

  11. thank you so much for these directions & especially the gauge chart 'cause i measure my chain length (actually foundation sc) instead of counting stitches. so - 1" = 2 stitches and double length stitch count is 111. if my math is correct, that's about 55". you've made my life so much easier - thank you again!
